Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. Every step — background removal, editing and export — runs entirely inside your browser using HTML5 Canvas. Your photo never leaves the device, and we never see it, store it, or send it anywhere.

Is it really free?

Yes. Every feature is free with no account, no watermark, no credits and no export limits. The site is a static page with no paid tier.

Do I need an account?

No account, no sign-up, no email required. Just open the editor and start.

What file formats can I export?

You can export transparent PNG and WebP (recommended for stickers), plus JPEG. Stickers can be exported as a single image or as a batch ZIP pack. The default size is 512×512 pixels, which is exactly what WhatsApp and Telegram expect.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. The editor is responsive and works on phones and tablets. Touch gestures such as pinch-to-zoom, drag and rotate are supported. For the most reliable cut-out on mobile, a recent version of Chrome, Safari or Edge is recommended.

Can I start without an image?

Yes. Click New on the editor, or the Start blank button in the upload area, to begin a fresh transparent canvas and add text, shapes and a background — no upload required.

How are my drafts saved?

If you leave and come back, the editor offers to restore your last unsaved edit from local storage on your own device. Nothing is stored on a server. Clearing your browser data removes the draft.

What is the maximum image size?

Source images are processed at up to 1400 px on the longest side for smooth editing; the final export is re-rendered from the full composition, so quality is unaffected.

Can I make WhatsApp or Telegram stickers?

Yes. Use the WhatsApp or Telegram presets in the Export tab for the correct size and format, then follow the platform's normal import steps. See the guide for a step-by-step walkthrough.

Why is my exported file over 100 KB?

Switch the format to WebP, which typically halves the size at the same visual quality. Reducing the number of distinct colours in the image also helps keep files small.

Why does copying to Photoshop show a black background?

The editor copies a genuinely transparent PNG to your clipboard. The black you see in Photoshop is a Windows clipboard limitation: when the browser places an image on the clipboard it also provides a 24-bit DIB bitmap that has no alpha channel, and the transparent pixels are flattened to black. Many Photoshop builds read that bitmap when you paste.

For guaranteed transparency, use the Download button to save a PNG file, then open it in Photoshop (File ▸ Open) or drag it onto the canvas. The saved file keeps its alpha 100% of the time.

Why isn't the background transparent after I copy or download?

Transparency only applies to the area you cut out. Click Remove background (or press B) in the editor first — until then the exported image still contains the original rectangular photo. If you paste into an app that doesn't support transparency (WeChat, some Office builds), turn on Copy with white background in the export settings so the result isn't black.

What is saved in the project file (.sticker.json)?

The project file stores the original image, the cut-out mask, text and decoration layers, styling and transforms — everything needed to keep editing. It does not include the sticker pack, the layer-split export settings, or the browser-local gallery list (those live separately on your device).
